About

I'm Evarist, a philosophical engineer exploring the foundational code—both silicon and societal—that shapes our reality. My work is the practical application of this curiosity.

I delve into the knotty connections between emerging technologies like AI, blockchain systems, and stablecoins, and their profound impact on human psychology and the new economies they are creating.

Building Systems

I am a hands-on technical leader who builds systems to solve complex operational problems. My expertise begins with data. I am fluent in R, SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and Python, which I use to automate workflows, drive analysis, and build M&E systems from the ground up.

Beyond analysis, I design and build full-stack applications and the “plumbing” that makes them run. This has ranged from architecting data pipelines on AWS to leading development on modern, high-performance stacks. My current work is built on Python, Go and Elixir APIs serving unified React/Next.js and React Native monorepos.

AI in Practice

My current technical focus is on the practical application of AI. I have hands-on experience architecting and integrating AI models into new products, moving AI from a buzzword to a functional tool. This includes building with Google's Gemini models for complex vision and image generation tasks as well as OpenAI's audio and vision models

My expertise also extends to the development process itself. I am highly proficient with AI-augmented workflows, using tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to accelerate codebases.

“The most profound technologies are those that disappear. They weave themselves into the fabric of everyday life until they are indistinguishable from it.”

Current Focus

I'm currently exploring the intersection of blockchain technology and human psychology, particularly in the context of stablecoin adoption and decentralized systems. My work examines how cognitive biases and behavioral patterns influence participation in crypto-economic systems, and how we can design technologies that enhance rather than diminish human agency.

On the practical side, I'm building AI-powered products that solve real operational challenges. Currently, I'm working on Threadson, a Try-on fashion with AI, 60-minute delivery startup. This project combines computer vision, real-time logistics, and AI-powered personalization to reimagine how people discover and purchase fashion.

Through projects like these, I'm architecting scalable systems and exploring how emerging technologies can create more equitable economic structures. I believe that understanding the systems that run our world requires both technical depth and philosophical breadth.

Let's Connect

I'm always interested in thoughtful conversations about technology, philosophy, and the future we're building together. Feel free to reach out if something I've written resonates with you, or if you'd like to explore these ideas further.
